The semi-active two-chamber material lock is specially designed for use in pharmaceutical production and clean rooms up to cleanroom class ISO 5 and up to GMP class A.
It is an effective solution for the quick and efficient entry and exit of different materials and products. The risk of contamination can be reduced by separate paths for the material being fed in and out. This clear separation allows for parallel entry and exit processes. For example,
Material can be temporarily stored in the chamber for infeed operations while the chamber to be discharged is in use.
The sophisticated ventilation concept within the airlock ensures perfect cleanliness directly at the product. A low overpressure within the airlock prevents the ingress of external contaminants. The material airlock consists of a double-walled construction and flush-mounted safety glass door elements on both sides. The doors are sealed with a circumferential EPDM seal. Furthermore, the door hinges can be adjusted three-dimensionally. The airlock flushing system is also suitable for removing disinfectant residues.
The interior chamber and body are made of polished 1.4301 stainless steel . All corners and edges are deburred and welded. The material lock can be built into a cleanroom wall or mounted on a height-adjustable base frame. The supply and exhaust air are supplied via the on-site HVAC system. The supply air flows vertically from the technical structure through a HEPA filter into the interior of the lock according to the principle of low-turbulence displacement flow. The exhaust air is extracted from the lower area of the perforated interior walls of the lock by the on-site HVAC system.
All surfaces inside and outside the material lock are resistant to conventional cleaning and disinfection agents and are suitable for daily cleaning.
