The fail-secure bolt lock is the electrical locking unit for the door frame of the gas-tight hinged door from HT Group. In the locked state, the locking bolt blocks the lever handle of the door leaf, thereby preventing the door from being opened unintentionally. This ensures that the separation of areas and the gas-tightness of the door are maintained.

In the fail-secure (power-to-open) version, the bolt is extended when de-energized: the door remains locked and is only energized to open. Since the bolt is not energized during normal operation, no holding current reduction is required.

This version is intended for material pass-throughs without pedestrian traffic. In the event of a power failure, the pass-through remains locked and the area separation is maintained. For personnel doors, the fail-safe version ELE03283 must be used so that the area can be exited even in the event of a power failure.

One lock is required per door. Operating and display elements as well as the control system are not part of the lock; they are provided by the customer in the switch cabinet or in a central building control system cabinet.
