information
The fail-safe solenoid bolt lock is the standard locking unit for HT Group's gas-tight swing doors. When locked, the locking bolt blocks the lever handle of the door leaf, thereby preventing the door from being opened unintentionally.
In the fail-safe (power-to-lock) version, the bolt is energized to lock. If the power supply fails, the bolt retracts and the door can be opened. This allows people to exit the area even during a power outage.
Since the bolt is permanently energized during normal operation, the assembly is equipped with a holding current reduction feature. This reduces the current to approximately 500 mA after locking, thus preventing the lock from overheating.
One lock is required per door. For material pass-throughs without pedestrian traffic, the fail-secure version ELE02814 is available. Operating and display elements as well as the control system are not included with the lock.
Intended use
Electric lock for gas-tight swing doors (GDDT) with pedestrian traffic.
Typical areas of application include:
- gas-tight swing doors in laboratories and cleanrooms
- personnel airlocks and changing areas
- cleanrooms of classes ISO / GMP D to A
- biosafety laboratories of levels S3 to S4
Features
- fail-safe (power-to-lock); in the event of a power failure, the bolt retracts and the door can be opened
- standard design for personnel doors
- integrated holding current reduction lowers the holding current to approx. 500 mA and prevents excessive heating
- locking bolt blocks the lever handle of the door leaf
- locking bolt made of stainless steel, bolt area sealed to IP65
- integrated position monitoring of the locking bolt and door position monitoring
- potential-free relay contact
- 24 V DC, 100% duty cycle
- locking unit mounted flush and gas-tight with PTFE seal in the door frame
- control system and operating panel not included in the scope of delivery
