When locked, the locking bolt blocks the lever handle of the door leaf, thereby preventing the door from being opened unintentionally.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIn the fail-safe (power-to-lock) version, the bolt is energized to lock. If the power supply fails, the bolt retracts and the door can be opened. This allows people to exit the area even during a power outage.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eSince the bolt is permanently energized during normal operation, the assembly is equipped with a holding current reduction feature.
